So while my T-Mobile G1 is still running Android 1.5 (which is awesome), now I can have it look just like my Acer Aspire One desktop that runs Fedora 10.
Using dxTop and a Fedora 10 theme, I've got the best of both worlds: 1) A smartphone that kicks ass; and 2) A standard look and feel across my mobile office hardware. Check out the screen shot of my G1 to the right and the screen shot of my AAO below. They look great together!

Now that I've gotten the Cupcake (Android 1.5 push) I've been playing around with my G1 a lot more! The new features of 1.5 make the whole experience a lot better!
Instead of extolling the virtues of the new version of the OS and firmware, I thought I'd show off my new Home Screen. I purchased dxTop from the Android Market that has a lot of great features, but best of all it allows you to apply some really cool themes to your G1. I purchased the Steam Punk theme and it looks great! Click on the image to see the full res version.
The image was actually generated by dxTop! It will take a screen shot whenever you click the camera button while not looking at the Home screen. It would be a lot cooler if it could also take screen shots of apps, but there's probably an app for that in the Market...
